Things to do in Japan

The 2021 Olympic games are being held in Japan and even though the games have not been open to everyone, we would like to share the many tips for travelling to Japan when travelling has opened up to us once again.

Japan is a gorgeous country that is definitely worth travelling to at least once. It is an enchanting place that is full of so much awe and wonder. From beautiful mountain skylines, to cosplay culture to ancient temples, Japan has everything for everyone. There is so much to see that you will most likely not be able to see it all in one visit.

Here are a few things that we would recommend.

Visit Mount Fuji

Whether you decide to look upon this beautiful ancient volcano, or climb it, we are sure you will enjoy seeing this magnificent mountain. Many people choose to accept the challenge and hike up Mount Fuji and circle the crater before they descend again, but make sure you do start early enough and save enough time as it will take around six hours to get to the top and three hours to descent, and however much time you will need to walk around the crater!

Himeji-jo

Japan is known for its ancient castles and temples which bring a timeless charm to the country. We thought Himeji is worth mentioning as it is one of the most magnificent and artistically beautiful castles in Japan, and one of the last original castles from the 16th century.

Buddhist Temples

You will not be able to miss the stunning temples of Japan even if you try. These temples are a sacred part of Japanese culture and you will recognise this as you will see steady streams of worshippers int his area. Senso-ji is one of Japan’s most visited temples, a tip is to visit early and during the weekdays to avoid the crowds!

Sports Gambling

If you enjoy casinos and sports betting such as on no verification casinos, then you might enjoy seeing how Japan culture is like in horse racing and motor sports as well as other public sports.

Watch a Geisha Dance

Geishas are women who entertain audiences using traditional dance. They are a very interesting part of Japanese history. They dance to traditional music whilst wearing their traditional dresses and ornate hairstyle. If you have not done so yet, check out the movie Memoirs of a Geisha, worth a watch to give you an idea of their performances.
